A couple of years ago John sent a spoof email to our friend Frank Hudson asking him to sponsor him to do an Iron Man competition in the USA (John was very ill at the time). Frank, who is very generous and a bit gullible sent him £20 for the Scanner Appeal. John sent him a further email claiming to be Nigerian and asking for his bank details in order that he might help him deposit a large sum of money. Luckily Frank saw the funny side.
