Alan was a bee to a flower- brilliant, nourishing, sharp. He was a polymath; funny and kind. As Emma Kennedy often said after Alan produced a fabulous song, a clever doggerel, a film, " All the applause for Alan." He is sorely missed. I'm sorry for your loss and ours.
