David was such a lovely man and Brian and I had great times together with David and Sue. Playing golf, holidays in Florida and lovely dinner parties. I used to love our chats when he was in Gate Cottage and was sorry we were unable to get together recently. The last time I saw David was this time last year when he managed to come to Brian's wake. David's funeral service was wonderful, beautiful music, thanks for sharing it with us. It would have been standing room only had we all been allowed to join you. A wonderful gentleman and family man, he was so proud of you all, may he rest in peace. Maureen x

Fond memories of Christmas's at Uncle David's and Auntie Eileen. Always a warm welcome to us when we visited Saltdean. We will miss seeing you at the Sunday Lunches we had when we came to the seaside with Dad.
Much love from us both.

We shall miss David as a good friend and a true gentleman. He and Sue were great golfing companions and we enjoyed socialising with them on many occasions. Latterly he was always pleased to see visitors in Seaford and in the Care Homes, sorry not to have been able to visit last year.

Uncle David was a very likeable, kind man for whom we have always had the greatest of respect. Back in 1977 it was through his contact that Mandy and I managed to get a mortgage and buy our first house.
The Christmas of that same year was one we will never forget. We seemed to spend a lot of time in Saltdean at their invitation. What with Eileen's amazing cooking skills and the company of the three King boys and Selim the lodger, life seemed to be one long party and David and Eileen always made me(Tom) feel like one of the family. He will always be remembered with fondness by us both.

Our sincere condolences to all the family on the passing of Dave.
We remember fondly one occasion in his latter years when he invited us to his flat in Seaford where we had a glass of champagne.
He had organised another event where our daughter Gemma was invited to sing to the residents.
He was a lovely man who was a good golfer and much liked at East Brighton and he will be remembered fondly for all his hard work as a servant of the club and the friendship he afforded everyone who knew him.
May he rest in peace at this very sad time.
