Gwen was an avid knitter and one of the last things she did was knit a Ukraine flag and a string of Ukraine bunting. The flag was framed by a member of Sibbertoft's staff who is hosting a Ukraine mother and daughter and it is on display in their home.
This was the last thing that Gwen spoke to us about when we and her step grand-daughter, Samantha visited her the day before she died.
It seemed poignant to dedicate any donations to the Ukraine appeal.
Amongst Gwen's possessions we found two rings (one gold and one white gold) - we are donating the sale of these to the Ukraine appeal.
