The Eventide Homes was founded as an almshouse charity in 1935 by the then Mayor of Bournemouth, Alderman J R Edgecombe. There are today 74 almshouse homes for older people in need located in Edgecombe Gardens, in Castle Lane West, Bournemouth. The Trustees aim to enhance the quality of life of the residents by providing well maintained homes, attractive grounds on the estate and a community hall for social & recreational use.
