Jane,
I was hoping to come to your Dads funeral today, however coming all the way from York in the snow unfortunately halted this. I still want to pay my respects in my own way.
Firstly I want to say how sorry I am to hear of Jack passing. No one ever knows the right words to say in a time like this, but I know that memories are a real comfort.
I'm not sure you'll know who I am/remember me, but I knew Jack through my mum, Jackie when I was a lot younger & I have such fond memories of him.
I always used to look forward to seeing Jack, he was always so enthusiastic, loving, fun to be around & always made me laugh. I remember one of his magic tricks was swallowing a comb & then somehow finding it behind me ear, to this day I don't know how he did it! The highlight of each birthday was receiving a personalised birthday card from him, I still have them as I hold them so dearly. I remember I went through a faze of being obsessed with the snowman & he illustrated the whole book with me
