He was a great family man and the Grandchildren will miss his Day Trips on the train and fossil hunting. He was always there with different aspects of education.

I knew Mark for almost 30 years - he was such a kind, generous and very caring guy.
It was such a shock to hear of his passing. I would always look forward to catching up with him every time I was down in Christchurch, especially getting the train chat in with him.
