Learn more about us
To support Patients and Staff by providing equipment and free drink services in the major clinics throughout the Hospital.
In the last 10 years our Friends group have raised and been able to donate well over one million pounds to RCH, providing equipment and services to enhance the facilities for both patients and staff. In the last 2 years we donated £266,024 which included the purchase of a fibro-scan machine (£30,000) to be able to diagnose liver issues and an ultra sound machine to support ladies following difficult child birth (£40,000) - both pieces of equipment prevent patients in Cornwall having to go for further tests outside our county. Our Volunteers are second to none and in addition to fund raising over the last 12 months have given in excess of 23,000 hours support to clinical areas; served over 72,000 drinks in various clinics; lent over 1,700 books to patients through our Library service and run the Coffee Bar in Tower Block, which generates a good income for us.
