HONE-Shirley Mary (nee Overton). Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 20th 2019, aged 85, of Grimston, formerly Head of Ashwicken School. Much loved wife of William, mother of Alec and Wendy, and grandmother to Charlotte. Funeral service at St Botolph's Church, Grimston, on Wednesday March 13th at 12.30pm, followed by a committal at Mintlyn Crematorium.

Shirley was a kind caring person and will be missed very much not only by family but by people she helped. She was a great sister-in-law and close to my late husband, Barry, her younger brother. I and my family will remember with fondness the family gatherings at her parent's house in Knebworth.

Shirley was a lovely, calm,wise cousin and a great support to her husband, Bill. I have fond memories of visits to her and family at "Marcle", in Knebworth ,as well as visits she made to our houses in Southgate and Oakwood.
May she rest in peace, and hopefully rejoin her brothers.
