Donations to benefit the Neonatal Unit Leicester Royal Infirmary as Thomas arrived 9 weeks early, weighing 3lbs 9ozs on the 8th February 1989. He spent his first 6 days in an incubator and was not expected to survive. Within 6 days he was breathing un-aided. The wonderful nurses and doctors said he was 'a fighter'. He came home from hospital after 6 weeks.
Thomas has lived life to the full! Sailing, motor bikes and latterly flying aeroplanes, gaining his wings in 2017 and recently a scholarship in aerobatic flying.
Tragically on the 24th August 2019 Thomas died doing what he loved best - 'flying'.
Without the dedication of Leicester Royal Infirmary Special Care Baby Unit, Thomas would not have lived such a fulfilled, adventurous life.
