Alan sadly passed away on the 9th September 2026, a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is dearly loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all those that knew him.

Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist care and support free of charge across North Hertfordshire, Stevenage, Central Bedfordshire and the surrounding communities.
While we receive funding from the NHS, this does not cover the full cost of the care we provide. Less than half of our funding comes from the NHS, with the remainder raised through the generosity of our local community.
That's why every gift, no matter the size, helps ensure that local people facing some of life's most difficult moments receive expert care, comfort and support. Together, we are helping more people live well, remain independent for longer, and receive the care they need in the place that matters most to them.
