I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Stephen's mum. Growing up through my theatre years, she was always so welcoming, supportive and wonderfully witty. I have many fond memories of staying over at their house and being made to feel completely at home. She was one of those people who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. My thoughts are with Stephen and all the family at this difficult time. Much praise to Sue Ryder hospice for their great care too.

Both Alison and Malcolm gave many years of service, supporting the 32nd Reading (St. George's) Scout Group. Richard, Sean, and Stephen were all Cub Scouts in the Pack of which I was leader. Alison is remembered for her infectious enthusiasm for Scouting, along with her incredible sense of humour! At camps, she was always the "mother" figure, listening to any of the problems raised by the Cub Scouts, especially talking them out of any thoughts of homesickness! Alison was always game for a challenge, and it was a pleasure to walk and complete the Three Towers Hike 45 miles around the Berkshire downs. All her Scouting friends wish her well on her journey into the next world, where we will all no doubt meet up together again! Not sure about the ability to walk 45 miles again though! RIP Alison 🙏❤️ I enjoyed our giggles in our girls 1 Glee rehearsals and you were so full of life, I will miss singing with you, we had such a laugh at the Race for Life in Ascot and I admired your sense of fun and chatting about festivals and what you hoped to do with your granddaughter.
