The Matthew Project is a value driven charity based in Norfolk working in innovative ways with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. Through our varied services, young people and adults receive professional advice, information, counselling, support, care and education.
The Matthew Project has workers based throughout the county in both rural and urban areas. Our work takes place in a variety of settings including schools, youth venues, police stations, courts, in the community and at our award winning Next Steps Recovery Hub in Norwich, Norfolk.
We work with the individual but also worried parents, carers and young people whose parents use drugs or alcohol.

Such a sad loss, Andy was an inspiration to so many including us as a family, especially my sons Josh and George. We had the privilege to live opposite Andy's Grandparents Liz and David who are also sadly no longer with us and my Josh met Andy for the first time at the age of 5 across a tennis net in his Grandparents garden and thats where my sons journey began playing tennis and Andy became a huge part of our lives, Andy coached Josh at times and was always interested in how he was doing, many times we had an extra passenger to or from a tennis tournament with Andy joining us. Our boys were younger than Andy and Matt but just wanted to share how important they both were as we had two Guinea Pigs and our boys named them 'Andy and Matt'. Words can't really describe the shock and sadness we are feeling at the news of Andy's death and send our thoughts to all the family at this time x
