Andy Crowe
In Loving Memory
1951 - 2026
In memory of Andy, donations will be shared between two causes.
The first is the ward at James Paget University Hospital, where Andy received care during the final stage of his illness. The care, compassion and support shown
to Andy and our family were exceptional, and we will always be grateful for the
kindness we received. Andy was a big fan of fans, which helped ease his
breathlessness as they do for many respiratory patients. During his stay, he
even researched a fan he felt would benefit the ward. Donations will help provide fans and other items that can improve comfort and support for patients
and their families.
We would also like to support Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, a charity dedicated
to raising awareness of pulmonary fibrosis, supporting those affected by the
condition and funding vital research. Pulmonary fibrosis remains a little-known
disease with limited treatment options, and Andy was always keen to help others
and make things better for future generations. Donations will help support the charity's work to improve understanding, care and hope for those living with pulmonary fibrosis.
Page Closes on 21 July 2026
Donations have been requested for more than one charity. Please choose the one you wish to support by selecting the 'donate' button underneath the name. A form will open for you to make your donation and leave a message.

Around 70,000 people in the UK are living with pulmonary fibrosis. We support those affected, raise awareness and fund research to find a cure. Our four themes are:
Support - to advocate for patients and to provide support to improve their quality of life and to develop collaborative partnerships to help fund patient-focused support programmes
Research - to support research into improved outcomes and greater understanding of the disease and to champion research programmes
Education - to undertake targeted awareness raising of the disease, amongst the medical profession, decision-makers and the wider public
Campaigning - to proactively target parliamentarians, NHS and policy-makers and to represent patient interests with NICE and the NHS and to target symptom recognition in primary care for prompt diagnosis
