Bluebell Wood Hospice-We spent valuable time as a family here with Archie after his death, giving us precious time and space to be together as a family. The team at Bluebell looked after our every need and allowed us precious time and moments to spend with Archie in a safe and restful environment.

Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity-We are lucky enough to have the most amazing children’s hospital on our doorstep. The whole team on ward 6 cared for Archie like their own during his illness and we are grateful to all the staff within the Oncology department. The Children’s Hospital charity support clinical research help improve the hospital environment and ensures it has the latest specialist equipment – something which Archie certainly benefitted from during his time there.

Young Lives vs Cancer-Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers who provide tailored support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.
They are based on Ward 6 and have helped us navigate the stressful journey when our lives were turned upside down after Archie’s diagnosis. Tracy has been an immeasurable support to us, in particularly
providing specialist support to Thea and Zach

Children with Cancer UK-Put simply, we would love to live in a world where no child has
to suffer like Archie has. Children with Cancer UK focuses on research into the
cause and treatment into childhood cancer which we hope one day means no child
has to go through what Archie and our family has gone through over the past
year.

Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice

Bluebell Wood is one of only 53 children's hospices in the UK. We care for over 200 children and young people in our hospice and in the community from across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.

Our highly specialist care team look after children and young people with a vast range of complex medical needs. We support the whole family on their life journey offering respite care, day care provision, community support, 24 hour urgent response and end of life treatment and care. Sibling support is also at the heart of our work; as well as counselling and bereavement services, hospice at home and befriending.

It costs over £3 million a year to provide this vital service to children, young people and their families, and we receive less than 10% government funding. In addition, we run 250 sessions a month for children and their families. These include play and music therapy, bereavement counselling and sibling support groups.

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
