Once Upon a Smile provides emotional and practical support to bereaved families at their time of need. We help bereaved children and families to navigate the challenges of grief, foster healing, resilience, and hope. We support children and young people from across Greater Manchester with a bespoke variety of bereavement support to families following the death of a loved one. Based in Trafford, we support hundreds of children (as young as 3 years old) each year in our dedicated child bereavement centre, Sidley House.
We provide one-on-one sessions, group activities, advice for parents/carers and professionals, and a safe space for children to navigate their emotions. All of our support is free and available for as long as it is needed.
Our main beneficiaries are the children and families living in or around Greater Manchester.
