The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. We provide a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the coasts of the UK and RoI, as well as a seasonal lifeguard service on many of the busiest beaches in England and Wales. Volunteers are the heart of the RNLI. We rely on more than 40,000 volunteers - on lifeboats, at stations, on beaches, and in fundraising. Some crew members and most lifeguards are full time. They work with other staff to ensure comprehensive safety coverage around our islands. The RNLI is an independent charity with a board of volunteer trustees.

Headway is the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury. Through a range of frontline services run from its Nottingham base and via a network of more than 100 groups and branches across the UK, it provides support, services and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields. A brain injury can have devastating consequences for individuals and their families, affecting every aspect of life. Although we all think 'it'll never happen to me', a brain injury can affect anyone at any time. When it does, we're here to help.
