Hardworking, generous, kind, fun, noone like him! A friendship with Sue and Dick going back almost 50 years. The summer parties, ciderpressings, burns nights, brought so many people to come together to make lovely friends, masses of memories, we all had so much fun with Sue and Dick. We all sort of grew up together, being young, getting married, having children, and watching them all grow up, coming to parties, initially in the woods, later at Woodthorpe Hall. Dick is irreplaceable. We will never, ever forget him. Love lots, always to Sue, Rosanna, and Deano, Tim, and Katie, Nick and Tiff. X x x ❤️

A friendship of 50 years with Sue and Dick, brought a large number of people's various to have so much fun, love , laughter, joy, hospitality and Dicky Brew, and latterly cider. My first Summer Party in 1976, that very hot summer was an event like no other experience...in the woods. Music , bonfire and dancing all night long. The parties were an annual event, as were the cider pressings in the autumn. Dick, alongside Sue, gave us all so much . Each event was enjoyed, catering was splendid...barbecues in the woods initially, then superb spreads of meats ,salads ,puddings and more in the gardens of Woodthorpe Hall. Music and dancing. Dick was a hardworking, generous and kind man. We will miss him always.
