You can create and share a funeral tribute page with family and friends, who can make donations and leave messages of condolence and support.

Yes. You do not need to use a funeral director registered with Memory Giving to create a page.

You can create an account directly with Memory Giving and set up a funeral tribute page for your loved one.

No. You can create a funeral tribute page directly with Memory Giving regardless of which funeral director is arranging the funeral.

If you think your funeral director does use Memory Giving, check with them to ensure duplicate pages are not created.

A family member, friend or another appropriate person can create a funeral tribute page directly with Memory Giving.

You can create a page once you have the information you would like to share.

You do not need to have every detail available straight away, as information can be added or updated later.

Yes. You can include the date, time and location of the funeral service, giving family and friends one central place to find the information they need.

Yes. Google Maps directions will display on the funeral tribute page to help family and friends find the service location.

Yes. An Order of Service can be uploaded to the funeral tribute page so that family and friends can access it online.

Yes. If the funeral service is being webcast or live streamed, you can add the relevant link to the funeral tribute page.

As long as the page has not taken any donations, please contact us and we will delete the page.

Yes. You choose the UK charities or good causes you would like family and friends to support in memory of your loved one.

Yes. You can support more than one UK charity or good cause from the same funeral tribute page.

Yes. Memory Giving supports both national and local UK charities and good causes.

We understand that smaller local organisations can be just as important to a person and their family as larger national charities.

Not necessarily. If the organisation you would like to support is not already available, please contact us and we will look into it for you.

Family and friends can visit the funeral tribute page, choose the charity or good cause they would like to support and follow the secure online donation process.

Donations can be made using the payment methods available through Memory Giving, including debit and credit cards and, where available, digital payment options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

Yes. Online donations can be made securely 24 hours a day using a compatible device with an internet connection.

It is not possible to record cash and cheque donations on a page. Please contact the charity or good cause direct to find out what their process is.

No. The facility to register offline donations such as cheques cannot be recorded on the funeral tribute page by you at this time.

Yes. Where a charity is fully registered with us, the donation is eligible and the donor makes the appropriate declaration, Memory Giving manages the Gift Aid process.

Gift Aid is a UK Government scheme that allows eligible charities to claim additional money on qualifying donations made by UK taxpayers.

For every £1 donated under Gift Aid, an eligible charity can normally claim an additional 25p from HMRC, subject to the relevant Gift Aid rules.

No. There is no charge for processing Gift Aid and the eligible charity receives the full Gift Aid amount successfully claimed.

We deduct a 5% donation processing fee that enables us to maintain and develop the platform. There is also a 0.9% fee to cover the payment provider charges.

Gift aid is subject to no fees and charges.

Yes. A QR code is emailed to you, giving people a quick and easy way to access the funeral tribute page.

Your page has its own web address, which you can share with family and friends.

You can share it through email, WhatsApp and social media, or use the QR code provided for your page.

Yes. You can share your funeral tribute page through social media, making it easier to let relatives, friends and the wider community know about the funeral and chosen charities or good causes.

Memory Giving provides a Find a Page facility to help people locate funeral tribute pages.

Yes. Family and friends can leave messages of condolence and support with their donations through the funeral tribute page.

Messages associated with the funeral tribute page can be viewed through the page.

A list of the messages are emailed to you once the funeral tribute page closes.

The funeral tribute page remains opens for 6 weeks.

If you would like to extend the page beyond 6 weeks, please contact us.
