Joan Braithwaite
On 29th June 2026 Joan passed away suddenly aged 92 years. Loving wife of the late Eddie, fun loving mum of Karen and Paul, mother-in-law of Paul and Deborah, grandma of Simon, Rachael, Amy and Thomas, Great Grandma of Izzy, Tilly, Henry, Rosie and Alfie.
Joan was a force of nature and the matriarch of the family. She lived her life following the Christian Methodist Faith. A strong believer in honesty and morality. An avid gym member in the early 2000's she kept herself fit and was always on the move. A recognisable person in the Great Harwood community and her neighbourhood from baking for the church events to making wedding dresses for her family and friends, always happy to help anyone who needed it. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
