My grandmother had always been a gentle and loving presence in our family. I'll always cherish the memories we have together. I remember spending time together as a child, her visits, and the quiet moments we shared. She had a soft nature and loved her family deeply. I am grateful that my oldest son, Hunter, was able to meet her and that I had the chance to spend time with her in England. Her kindness and love will always be part of our family. We miss and love you, Grandma ♥️

Naturally, when coming up with a name for grandma, we called her "mommy mommy" because after all, she was our mommy's mommy! She had the softest voice and an angelic laugh that could crack a smile in even the most stoic folks. I have fond childhood memories of her visiting us in the US and bringing special blankets for Brittany and me. Grandma made sure to buy purple for me - my favorite color! I still have my blanket all these years later. Her great-grandchildren have had many blissful naps in that blanket. Grandma was content just spending time with those she loved... especially when good food was close by! She was even there to watch me graduate high school, and unfortunately for her (and everyone else), bear witness to my teenage angst! She was nothing but loving and warm with me, even in her later years. I have so much love for her and am so proud to be her granddaughter. Sending lots of love from Illinois!

A full eulogy will be read at Mum's funeral service. Mum will be in our hearts and minds forever. How blessed we have been, children, grand children and great grand children. A gentle, kind and loving soul who will be deeply missed by us and all who knew her. We love you Mum X
