After a long and busy life, Maggie died peacefully on Tuesday 8th July 2025, at Elcombe House, Bedford, where she had lived for four years, and where she was wonderfully and lovingly cared for.
National Back Exchange, which Maggie (as a nurse) helped to set up, was the focus of much of her later life's work, aimed at improving manual handling standards in health care.
Tibbs Dementia Foundation, which runs Music for Memory in Bedford, has been a source of great encouragement and enjoyment to Maggie and to the family.
