For decades St Joseph's Parish Centre Luton has been a place where friendships were formed, celebrations were held and songs were sung. Where people came together in the good times and the bad. It has been woven into the fabric of Luton’s Irish community — and the town more broadly — for generations. In recent years, the old place has been through a difficult period. Neglectful management saw the building decline to a point where it was no longer deemed fit to remain open, and further operational issues meant there was no credible plan for reopening. To their credit, the Diocese of Northampton — as owners of the building — made the swift decision to return management of the club to the St Joseph’s community. A new Community Interest Company — St Joseph’s Parish Centre 2026 — has now been formed to lease the site and take the centre forward.
