As a teenager, I was best friends with Michael's brother Richard. It was fascinating being around Michael,such an amazing charismatic personality and a true bon viveur. I'll never forget the kindness that Michael (and Maggie) showed to us, even taking us with them to Derbyshire pubs on a Sunday night. How many courting couples would spend time with young oiks like us?
We can ill afford to lose special characters like M ichael and our hearts go out to his family and especially Maggie.
