FSW aims to improve local children's wellbeing and life chances. The charity undertakes preventative work with children and families in Sussex who are having a difficult time, facing challenges such as low income/poverty, mental or physical ill health, bereavement, family break-up and domestic abuse. Support Workers work with each family to build confidence and resilience to overcome present difficulties and stay out of crisis. Playworkers offer one-to-one and group activities that help with children's development and parents' isolation. The charity intensively supports over 600 Sussex children each year.

I'm delighted to donate in the memory of a man who was very special to the Doak family. I treasure my childhood memories of Rodney and Dad, university friends forever, catching up and laughing uproariously. Visiting "Bookers Vineyard" (at it was then) at weekends was always a treat and I will never forget the help Rodney gave me in conducting my GCSE geography fieldwork project, on how the A23 bypass changed Bolney village forever..!
Heartfelt condolences to the Pratt family and Peta, I feel privileged to have known my godfather, your father and husband.
