We fund independent, high quality original alcohol research, develop new talent in research and practice and promote a better understanding of research findings across society.
We need to fully understand the issues for individuals, families and communities: why some people are more vulnerable than others, the contributing factors, the effective interventions, the barriers and facilitators and the human implications. We can then work with practitioners and policy makers to cut the human and financial cost of alcohol harm.
