I knew Terry first as one of a crowd when we were teenagers in Beaconsfield. Then about 9 years ago we met again as members of different swimming club committees and spent many an hour poolside at the same galas. He was a great guy, full of fun, always with a smile on his face.

We had such a great time together in our late teens and early 20s playing endless cricket matches. Terry was a hugely underrated cricketer. I spent hours wicket keeping to his slow left arm bowling "sledging" batsmen throughout South Bucks into believing Terry was turning it sideways until they inevitably fell to his straight one. We also played football together for The Rose and Crown with many horrible errors between Terry's goalkeeping and me thinking I was Alan Hansen, Terry contributed hugely to my life and I will treasure the memories for the rest of my life
