Learn more about us
The Cathedral Church is the Mother Church of the Diocese of East Anglia, and the parish church of central and south-west Norwich. We are open daily 7.30am – 6pm and all visitors are welcome, be it for attendance of Mass, quiet prayer, a venue for celebration, to marvel at the architecture or visit the shop and café.
A Cathedral is the seat of the local bishop, who is the successor of the Apostles, and the guarantor of our Catholic communion with the Church. His chair, or cathedra, sits in our sanctuary, and from there, and from the sacred altar, he presides over the local church of East Anglia, by the grace of God, and by appointment of the Apostolic See.

My family and I remember Tony and Pauline as very kind and generous people. Tony was a true gentleman and Pauline a beautiful lady. They were so kind to us when we stayed with them and enjoyed, walks, theatre visits and trips to the Norfolk coast and stately homes. Although friendships change over the miles and years, they will always be remembered with great fondness. We were so sorry to hear of both their illness, but now they are together in the Peace of Christ and our thoughts and prayers are with their beloved foamily. A beautiful service which I joined online. Thank you. Juliet Scully and family.🙋♀️🤗🙏😇🕊️👼x

I have fond memories of Tony.
Tony made me feel very welcome in the area and on the golf club, for which I am very grateful. Together with another player we used to play 9 holes twice a week at Eaton Golf Club just after 8 am, for several years.
He had a gentle soul and I will miss him.
Hein
